Bookmarks file viewer

A bookmarks.html export opens in a browser as an unreadable wall of links with the folders flattened away. This puts the structure back and adds a search box.

What the numbers mean

  • Domains — how many distinct sites you've saved from. If this is a tenth of your bookmark count, most of your file is a handful of sites saved over and over.
  • Insecure — bookmarks still pointing at http://. Many of these are old enough that the site has moved or gone; they're a good first pass for the dead link checker.
  • Oldest — the earliest ADD_DATE in the file. Browsers preserve this across imports, so it's often a decade older than the profile you exported from.

Nothing here is written back to your browser. To act on what you find, use the duplicate finder or the dead link checker, both of which produce a cleaned file you can re-import.
