How the merge works
Folder structures are kept exactly as they were in each source file. If two files both have a Recipes folder at the top level, their contents end up in the same Recipes folder in the output — which is usually what you want. If it isn't, tick put each source in its own top-level folder and you'll get chrome-export / Recipes and firefox-export / Recipes instead.
Duplicate detection uses the same rules as the duplicate finder: www., trailing slashes, http vs https, fragments and tracking parameters are all ignored. When a page appears in several files, the copy from the file you added first is the one kept, so drop in your most-organised export first.
Then import it
In any browser: Bookmarks → Manage → Import bookmarks from HTML file. Importing adds to what's already there rather than replacing it, so if you're merging into a browser that already holds one of these sets, clear its bookmarks first or you'll recreate the duplicates you just removed.
